Harod Blaendryn
Dawnlord Harod Blaendryn is the prior the Dawnsrest Abbey, a fortified monastery nearly twenty miles west northwest of Arabel in the Northern Marches of Cormyr. He is a skilled priest of Lathander and an incomperable vinter, who most likely possesses many more varied skills concealed beneath his burly exterior. He appears to be a very old friend of the caravaneer Barrdo Harrfoot, with whom he carries on a good-naturedly aggressive relationship.
Appearance
Harod is a Chondathan human of late middle age. He is large man, in both girth and in shoulder breadth. His brown hair has gone gray in places and is shaved in a priestly tonsure. A full, bushy beard surmounts his florid face, which itself is dominated by a large, often red nose. His blue eyes are bright and watchful at all times, despite a carefully cultivated air of blustery good nature.
Personality
Harod's personality is as massive as he is, dominating every room and conversation he is a part of. He can discuss politics and philosophy with the same certitude as he can address warfare and the finer points of wine making. He is coarse and occasionally overfoward, but he is always good-natured, except when bullied or watching the bullying of others.
